OUR NEW STYLE PLAQUE:
These Keepsake Plaques, available in either black or natural wood, are the newest addition to our line and are perfect for displaying your historic 1875 medallion ornament when the holidays are done!
Simply remove the ornament hook and hang your medallion (sold separately) on one of the Decorative Wrought Head Black Oxide Finish nails on the plaque. These nails come from the oldest continuous nail manufacturer in America, The Tremont Nail Company in Mansfield, Mass., and are "Designed to simulate the hand-forged nails of the late 1700's."
Whether sitting on a shelf or a desk, each plaque has the history of the bridge on the back, and comes with TWO interchangeable photo cards featuring the beautiful photography of John Kucko, from John Kucko Digital:
#1. Autumn Photo Card: Image captured by John Kucko in the Fall of 2015, features a gorgeous array of colors, and highlights the trestle in all it's glory.
2. Summer Photo Card: Image captured by John Kucko in August of 2015, features the 1944 Nickel Plate 765 steam engine as it crossed the 1875 Iron Portageville Bridge on a historic voyage, pulling hundreds of passengers in vintage cars.
Both photo cards feature an antique-crackled water resistant coating.
Choose from TWO colors:
A. Black Display Plaque in a satin black finish
or
B. Natural Wood Display Plaque in a clear matte finish
The plaques are handcrafted from reclaimed hardwood and feature the richness and character of the natural blemishes and old nail holes in the wood, and include a clear acrylic base to prevent tipping.
